Our ministry “Ministerio de Evangelización Católico Jesús Esta Vivo” is a Christian Catholic evangelization non-profit organization 501 (c)(3). Our ministry is legally establish in Virginia, U.S.A. and it was founded by laymen and laywomen and it is spiritual guide is Rev. Matthew Zuberbueler, Pastor of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Our ministry was founded in April 2003.
Our pastoral work is to evangelize God’s people, thru evangelization courses, retreats, and preach the Word thru the media, such as, Catholic literature, radio and Internet. Our goal is to so that all people come to the Lord and have a personal encounter with Jesus alive.
Around April of 2002 the Holy Spirit inspired a group of young adults who belonged to a prayer group called “Nueva Esperanza” of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. The Holy Spirit inspired them to form a Hispanic Lay Ministry of Evangelization. The mission was, and still is, to evangelize God’s people and to spread his Word utilizing the media; so, that everyone might have a personal encounter with the Lord. Our ministry name is “Ministerio de Evangelización Católico Jesús Esta Vivo”, which is legally registered in the state of Virginia as a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization.
After several meetings with the former Pastor of St. Anthony of Padua, Fr. Tuck Grinnell, on April 2003, he approved our ministry and became our spiritual director. It took several months of intense prayers and on September 29, 2003, we decided to implement the teaching structure and evangelization methods from the Evangelization School located in Mexico. On October 2020, we received the formal formation to start an Unbound Prayer Ministry for St. Anthony of Padua. Terry Riggins from our Diocese of Arlington trained us with Unbound. We are giving Spanish Unbound Conference in different part of USA and in Mexico and Dominican Republic. At the present we count with the support and spiritual guidance of Rev. Matthew Zuberbueler, current Pastor of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church
We give thanks to our Lord, for the opportunity to work on his vine.
On December 4, 2003 at 5:00 pm was transmitted our first radio program called “Jesus is Alive”, in New World Radio 1120 AM. Our first dream came a reality and with emotional tears in our eyes, we glorified God for his wonders and for opening the doors, for the opportunity to evangelize and to spread the Word of God. We are able to reach thousands of listeners using this medium. Being the only Christian Catholic Hispanic radio program to transmit in New World Radio, it brought a new dimension of evangelization for our ministry.
We started our first monthly Prayer Assembly on March 6, 2004. God’s people from different parishes and groups of the Dioceses of Arlington gather together to praise the Name of Jesus.
On March 13 and 20 of 2004 we began teaching our first course of evangelization called “New Life”. This marked a new step to our ministry, since we were able to start forming evangelist in the Hispanic community.
On February 4, 2006 “Librería Católica Jesús Esta Vivo” opened its door for the first time. Our book store is a non-profit bookstore with the mission to serve the community through religious goods, formation and spirituality books, Bibles, Christian music, and more.
On 2012 and 2021 “International Evangelization Mission Trips” Our first international evagelization mission trip was to El Salvador where we gave several retreats and courses. In 2022 we started mission trips to Mexico and the Dominican Republic. Where we have been able to give the Unbound Conference and other retreats and also were able to provide foods for families, clothes and financial aid.
